I go walking in The Woodlands Waterway. It’s my happy place, where I can exercise, think, daydream, and more. I’m constantly scanning, trying to capture beauty. Here are some of my favorite glimpses:







People watching may be my favorite. The place is upper-middle-class, so the corporate types are superfluous. I try to acknowledge people as they pass with a smile or a wave to make them feel important, but I also do it because I firmly believe the world returns to us what we give it. What we give to the world is our ask.
Our individual worlds, the “I” world, the ego-filled bubble each exists in, are merely a reflection of us; thus, changing our world is an inside job.
But what happens when someone enters our world we can’t explain, or at least brushes by and touches our world and bumps it off axis?
While walking yesterday, I came across a man. I smiled at him and waved, but his face was contorted in a terrible scowl.
Now and then, an anomaly enters our world, it throws us out of orbit, and we wonder, What did I do to attract that into my life?
