“The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself.” Anna Quindlen
I was astonished to discover a quick Google search using the question ‘who am I’ yielded more than twenty-four billion results in less than a half a second.
Why does Google conjure up that many results for that specific query? Because there are a lot of people searching for an answer to that very question. I can only imagine it’s one of the most common questions for humanity. I also suppose the voice inside asking the question gets louder and louder the longer we ignore it.
I love the simplicity in the opening quote . . . ‘(begin) the work of becoming yourself.’
If the question ‘who am I’ is familiar to you, I encourage you to do a deep dive internally. Instead of looking to society, or your past, or some personality test for an answer, go inside and begin the work of becoming yourself, today.
If this Bit of Wisdom encouraged you, share it with someone else who might also benefit from it.
